Over the years, I’ve written hundreds of notes in my second brain[^1]. Now and then, I'd share one with a friend. Many of those friends found them useful, and pushed me to share them more widely. This site is my way of doing that.
There are three things I'm trying to do here:
### Pack as much quality into as little volume as possible
Each note is compressed to pack maximum meaning into minimum words. They're written to be clear and direct, not witty or entertaining. If they happen to feel that way sometimes, it's a happy accident.
### Offer pixels, not a picture
I'm not trying to present a complete picture. I'm offering pixels —— fragments from my life: ideas, relationships, books, musings. You get the drill. From these, you can build whatever picture you find meaningful. To that end, each note is linked to a few others, giving you the freedom to explore your own path.
### Live authentically in public
Saying things is easy. Living by them is hard. I've found that one of the best ways to live authentically is to expose your thinking in public, so that those who know you can keep you honest.
[^1]: My second brain is a private system of interconnected notes —— ideas, memories, and learnings —— that I use to make sense of the world.
